A Pretend Apology

Dear Person,

I'm so very sorry for what I did. I know you trusted me to baby-sit your kids very calmly, but I couldn't help it. I'm so sorry that I did all that stuff.

I'm sorry I ate all your food and put some crumbs on the floor and dumped the trash on your bed. I'm sorry I cut off your table legs for swords for the kids to hit shampoo. I couldn't help it.

Paper Polish Pottery

My brother and I have made "Paper Polish Pottery." I am thinking you want to know how to make it, too, pal.

You start by thinking what pattern you want it to be like. I would suggest a simple one so it would be easier on your first time. Your pattern should be symmetrical. Then get a stamp you make when you dab it on a cup, plate, or bowl like the one you thought of. You dab the stamp in some paint and then put it on the kitchen utencil, etc. and paint around it. Voila! You've got "Paper Polish Pottery."

My pattern was a fish scale. My mom cut the sponge to make the stamp the shape I wanted. It was very fun. You would enjoy it, too. Thank you for reading!

Greeks' Religion

Greece is a religious place. It's full of statues and temples. They worship lots of gods all over! They worship the gods like Zeus, Hera, Apollo, Ares, Athena, Poseidon, Hermes, Persephone, Dionysus, Hades, Hephaestus, Artemis, Hestia, Demeter, and Aphrodite. The Greeks were dependent on their religion because they care about what the gods are doing. The gods can give them good wealth or give them a bad year.

The Two Different Nations

India and America are very different countries.  India's a place where lots of people are poor.  India is a very religious place.  Even though India's poor, it's full of hospitality.  They also go around in rickshaws.  Americans use cars.

Americas ways of life are different than India.  America is strong.  It's so advanced, but it's so polluted.

India and America have capitals.  They also have poor people.  They both also borrow money.  I think we have our own ways.

Fall Festival

There is an exciting place called the Fall Festival. On the first day of fall, they celebrate at the fall festival. There are many things to do like eat, buy, learn, play, and watch a parade. You could eat things like free candy and popcorn. You can buy things like shirts, pants, and under-wear. You can play on a chess board.You can learn about flags. And you can watch a parade as they give you candy. If you go to the fall festival, I hope you will like it.

The Horror!

Woe is me!  I have to write a paper about "How great it is to study math." It all started as a sunny, cold morning. I went downstairs untold about the horror that awaited me. And I was forced to write this terrifying paper:

Math is nice to study. Once you start studying, it's hard to stop. (Does it seem like a lie to you? Don't think about it.) I hope you study a lot of hard math, like 3+4 (no, not really. I mean math like 2,062 x 4,893). So study really hard and try to do well and you (at least I hope) will get 100% on your math test.

See? I told you it was full of horror!

Hobbits

Hobbits are so little and they are fun to learn about. Hobbits like to stay in one little place salled "The Shire." Hobbits don't like to leave their little homes to go on an adventure, but sometimes they do. There were extraordinary adventores witth two hobbits called Frodo and Bilbo. If you would like to know more about hobbits, look in the Prologue of Lord of the Rings.

Ancient Egypt

Egypt was a great civilization. Ancient Egyptians built gigantic statues. They made plenty of humongous burial places for pharaohs called "pyramids." But there are many facts most people don't know about the life in ancient Egypt.

You should know that there were different rules about how to behave in ancient Egypt than today.  Parents gave their babies fried mice to teethe on.  There were rules for eating in ancient Egypt such as, "Don't stare at your food."

Most of Egypt was desert.  This is where hidden tombs were.  Next to the Nile River, where they harvested in spring, the land was black.  They called that place the "black land."   They grew barley and wheat as well as vegetables like beans, onions, and lettuce and fruits like figs, grapes and dates.  The ancient Egyptians were able to make a civilization to remember.

My Summer: Historical Fiction Part I

One day,I was growing pumpkins. I was going to make the biggest pumpkins ever! Then when I fell asleep, squirrels came,and ate 4 pumpkins and spared 1.When I awoke,I saw only 1 pumpkin left and I was broken-hearted. I got some water for the pumpkin still sad,but little did I know was that THAT pumpkin was controled by a vilinus germ called Bikinman.

I kept on doing a cycle that I didn't know about. It went like thisl:every drop of water I gave the pumpkin the more steam it gave to the robot that was inside it! One day I went outside to water the pumpkin as usual.Then a blinding flash came on my eyes. When the flash was gone,I saw a giant pumpkin that was now carved and was a jack-o-lantern! And then it got iron arms and legs!And so, the adventure began!

The jack-o-lantern looked like a head with arms and legs on it,gross with a capital G. I saw it destroy 39 blocks,but I coudn't do anything about it. The Police Staton was crushed. Then Ampanman the Superhero and his partners Miss Mampanman,Breadman,and Walnutman destroyed the jack-o-lantern and scared away Bikinman only to make Bikinman make a new plan. What plan was Bikinman going to do? Find out next time.

Super Elf and the Dragon

Once upon a time in Iceland, there were two heroes named Super Elf and Amazing Emperor. They saw a lion 60,142 meters tall named Dragon. It used its magical powers to make the sun so scorching hot that the crops died. Its evil, destructive, one-eyed face showed that it wanted to take over the world.

Super Elf and Amazing Emperor flew to a volcano where Dragon was planning its next evil move. Super Elf shot fire from his middle finger, but Dragon dodged it. Super Elf got out his sword, but Dragon burned it with boiling hot fire from its mouth. Amazing Emperor was thinking hard. Amazing Emperor decided to send the magic lightning from the dark clouds on Dragon, so they did. Dragon was hurt, but he wasn't hurt by the power of the lightning, he was paralyzed. Suddenly, there was a rumble. The volcano was going to erupt! Elf and Emperor escaped, but not Dragon. Elf and Emperor were praised all over the world!

The Deal I Made

I made deal with my Mom on March 22,2010. I made a deal that my Mom can kiss me whenever she wants for $4.51. And I'm glad for it. That means my mom can give me Elf ear kisses for the rest of my life.

Argentina is a good place to visit because you can see many interesting things there.

Magellanic penguins live on the Valdes Peninsula of Argentina. There are more cattle than people in Argentina (there are 38,000,000 people in Argentina, and 54,000,000 cattle).

An everyday drink is yerba mate. The tango is a very famous dance. In 1403, Thomas Bravlio Platero became the first public clerk of Buenos Aires. Gypsy women live in Argentina. You can tell who's a Gypsy and who's not by the dress.

Argentines love meat including beef. They like rodeos. Argentina is a nice place to visit.

Slovenia

Slovenia is a country full of amazing things. Slovenia has weasels in its National park. The Lipizzaner horse is born dark brown or black, and turns white when it is eight. The cave Salamander (which is a long and gray thing which has a alligator like head and has two legs and the other two look like they were cut off) lives in limestone regions.

Cultivating vines and making wine is an important part of the Slovenian economy. Pork meats, such as ham and sausages, are eaten all over Slovenia. Also thanks to the mild climate, many kinds of fruit are grown. Many kinds of fish and bread are eaten a lot in Slovenia. They also eat stuff like potica. Potica is the favorite sweet dish in Slovenia. Wild goats roam in the high mountain slopes. Peppers are grown in Slovenia.

Slovenia have boat races. Slovenia have bears, lynxes, and wolves. In Slovenia, there is a cave called Skocjan. Slovenia's elementary school takes nine years to graduate!

Trip to Florida

Mom was going to take me (and my other brothers) to Florida! We put lots of food and water for the cat (Mopsey).We drove in the car to the airport.When we where waiting for our plane,it seemed forever to me.Finally it was time for us to go to Florida.I couden't wait to get there!

Then I flew on an airplane! I played my gameboy sometimes. I saw lots of clouds and buildings down below. I flew for days and days. Finally the airplane stopped and we were in Florida! We saw lots of thinkgs in Florida. We went to a disgusting ride and some others. The disgusting ride (it wasn't a ride) that made water all over us like spit. The other one was the Buzz Lightyear ride. We went on a cart ride, too.

Then I saw a house and the people who owned it were Grandpa and Nana! I went to greet them. They were kind and happy to see us. I went to a water sprinkler, thut their were too much horseflies that we left earlier. We stayed for about three weeks. We saw many things in Florida. We stayed in Grandpa's and Nana's house.

One day I was looking outside and thinking about going to first grade. Then it was time to go home. We waved to Grandpa and Nana and went home. It seemed shorter going home than going to Florida. Although I was sad to leave Florida. I was happy to go home and go to first grade.

Wind Reaction

Hurricanes, thunderstorms, tornadoes, waterspouts, and fires are wind reactions. Hurricanes can destroy roads, trees, houses, cars, and make big waves that destroy more houses.Waterspouts are tornadoes in the sea and they suck up fish, frogs, people that are swimming, people that are surfing, and crabs. Thunderstorms are storms that have more lighting bolts in it. If you're in the sea and not out by the time the lightning bolt strikes the water, you will die. Tornadoes are the most deadly kind of wind disaster ever. The safest place to be when one happens is the basement. They don't last long, though. A fire can burn your house down. Get out of the window when that happens. The basement is the worst place to be in a fire.

Where I Want to Live

I've always lived in my home. And I don't want to go away from it. I will give you two reasons why. First, I've been here so long that I'm just too used to it. Second and last, I like this home to be here with me in this part of Missouri.

Honeybees

Honeybees can make honey by working together.


First, a scout honeybee finds a flower by flying. The bee then goes into the hive and does a dance. The faster it is, it means more pollen. The dance also tells the other bees where to find the flower. A different bee goes and finds the flower after watching the dance.


The bee takes pollen and brings it back to the hive. Bees drop pollen sometimes and it's called pollian, and it helps plants grow. Bees make honey out of the pollen and store some for the winter. Honey is made of pollen.

Basketball and Soccer

There are a lot of sports, but I want to talk about soccer and basketball. They are nice sports. They are similar and different in many ways.

Soccer has a ball like basketball. They both have goals. You can pass the ball on both. They're both sports. They both have coaches.

They are different in some ways. Soccer has a goalie and baskeball does not. Soccer has 22 players, and basketball has 24 players. Soccer is played outside and basketball is played inside.

I like soccer better because it's easier. I am short and cannot throw the ball very high.

Apple Trees

We have an apple tree and we like it. It's little but it's awesome. The apples are about an inch around. I'm sure they're going to be tasty. I hope they're green. Most likely they will be red. But I don't mind red apples.

Something I Will Never Forget

I will not forget the Octopus ride. I don't want to be on that ride again. It is scary and it goes high. It was so high I screamed. It spins like a octopus and looks like one, too. But my brother likes it.
