Ancient Egypt

Egypt was a great civilization. Ancient Egyptians built gigantic statues. They made plenty of humongous burial places for pharaohs called "pyramids." But there are many facts most people don't know about the life in ancient Egypt.

You should know that there were different rules about how to behave in ancient Egypt than today.  Parents gave their babies fried mice to teethe on.  There were rules for eating in ancient Egypt such as, "Don't stare at your food."

Most of Egypt was desert.  This is where hidden tombs were.  Next to the Nile River, where they harvested in spring, the land was black.  They called that place the "black land."   They grew barley and wheat as well as vegetables like beans, onions, and lettuce and fruits like figs, grapes and dates.  The ancient Egyptians were able to make a civilization to remember.

My Summer: Historical Fiction Part I

One day,I was growing pumpkins. I was going to make the biggest pumpkins ever! Then when I fell asleep, squirrels came,and ate 4 pumpkins and spared 1.When I awoke,I saw only 1 pumpkin left and I was broken-hearted. I got some water for the pumpkin still sad,but little did I know was that THAT pumpkin was controled by a vilinus germ called Bikinman.

I kept on doing a cycle that I didn't know about. It went like thisl:every drop of water I gave the pumpkin the more steam it gave to the robot that was inside it! One day I went outside to water the pumpkin as usual.Then a blinding flash came on my eyes. When the flash was gone,I saw a giant pumpkin that was now carved and was a jack-o-lantern! And then it got iron arms and legs!And so, the adventure began!

The jack-o-lantern looked like a head with arms and legs on it,gross with a capital G. I saw it destroy 39 blocks,but I coudn't do anything about it. The Police Staton was crushed. Then Ampanman the Superhero and his partners Miss Mampanman,Breadman,and Walnutman destroyed the jack-o-lantern and scared away Bikinman only to make Bikinman make a new plan. What plan was Bikinman going to do? Find out next time.

Super Elf Episode I

Super Elf began as a plain old guy,and when I say "Old", I mean old. He one day,went for a walk to keep in shape, and it seemed like a regular day. When no one was around,(except for Super Elf)a light flashed. Then,when the light died down,Super Elf saw a belt! When he was about to examine it,it seemed to move in the volcano!(Which is what it did.)He went in the volcano to get it (I know it was stupid,but it's part of the story). He saw it was near the bottom,so he couldn't jump down,so he dicided to climb,but he was too old(he was 75 years old to be exact).He saw there was a kind of stairs of rocks.(amazing how this thing happends right?)Of course he remembered the scientist said that the volcano was going to erupt very soon,but first of all he did not belive anything mind you ANYTHING that scientist said and second of all he was a daring old man. He went down and when he was going down,that is another story. When he went down all the way,he saw the belt and put it on and felt difirent somehow.He looked at himself in a miror he always caried with him and saw him-self look yonger (look 50 years yonger to be spasific). He thought he was in a story like "The Pictirue of Dorian Gray"but he was not in a story (I am just TELLING his tale).He heard a big sound and let me tell you "big"does not come close to say how big it was. He knew if he was the age of 75,he would defently die,but he was 25 years old so he might get out.So he ran 2 miles an hour to get out. He saw the lava some-times go ahead of him,so he jumped at those times.Well,to make a long story short, he got out and when-ever he takes the belt off he becomes old again.

Super Elf and the Dragon

Once upon a time in Iceland, there were two heroes named Super Elf and Amazing Emperor. They saw a lion 60,142 meters tall named Dragon. It used its magical powers to make the sun so scorching hot that the crops died. Its evil, destructive, one-eyed face showed that it wanted to take over the world.

Super Elf and Amazing Emperor flew to a volcano where Dragon was planning its next evil move. Super Elf shot fire from his middle finger, but Dragon dodged it. Super Elf got out his sword, but Dragon burned it with boiling hot fire from its mouth. Amazing Emperor was thinking hard. Amazing Emperor decided to send the magic lightning from the dark clouds on Dragon, so they did. Dragon was hurt, but he wasn't hurt by the power of the lightning, he was paralyzed. Suddenly, there was a rumble. The volcano was going to erupt! Elf and Emperor escaped, but not Dragon. Elf and Emperor were praised all over the world!

The House of the Sixty Fathers

The story of "House of Sixty Fathers" takes place in World War II.This is a story about a boy named Tien Pao.He saw one day water buffalows. One of them drove out the stake from the ground. Tien Pao was washed away by the current to the Japanese territory.

Tien Pao was brave which is one of the reasons I liked the book. He was brave to come in the mountains where the Japanese. He was also brave to warn Liutenant Hamsun.

He was also hopeful in the book. He took the little hope to wait at a rock and look for his family in an airplane.

Gladys and the Mandarin

Gladys Aylward and the Mandarin have many differences. They both are kind, but they do have differences. They both have a lot of similarities.

There are many things that are that are the same. They both loved China. They tried to defend China. They both accepted Christ. They helped feed 100 children. They both were buried in China.

There are many differences also. The Mandarin was a ruler and Gladys was not. Gladys was a missionary and helped 100 children across the mountian to Sian. She was a "Storyteller"and the Mandarin was not. Gladys stopped a riot in the prison and later became a grandmother.

I think they both helped in God's plan. The Mandarin gave the children food for their journey. Gladys helped the children get across the rocky and rough mountains. This story was from These Are My People. And I think that you can help China, too, with God's help.

The Deal I Made

I made deal with my Mom on March 22,2010. I made a deal that my Mom can kiss me whenever she wants for $4.51. And I'm glad for it. That means my mom can give me Elf ear kisses for the rest of my life.
