When he was a boy, George Westinghouse wanted to go to war. He got whipped for not going to school. He had nasty teachers. His mom knew he was smart.
As an adult,he went to war (US Cavalry). He had a Christmas at home. Later, he invented the air brake which stops a train by compressed air. George Westinghouse made a lot of other inventions, too. He's remembered the most for the air brake.
